A JACKET MINAS It took place at Palácio das Mangabeiras, opened in 1955 to be the official residence of the governors of Minas Gerais and whose initial design was designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer and gardens planned by landscaper Burle Marx.

A magnificent space, more than 12 thousand square meters of area with lush vegetation and with the Serra do Curral as the backdrop of a scene that catches the eye. The majority of the exhibition took place outside the Palace, along the gardens. The environments brought hospitality, good food, art, and Minas Gerais culture together with the historical, artistic, architectural and landscape heritage.

Gardens brought elements awakening our senses.

JACKET MINAS brought on display a motorhome with comfort for a small family, comfortable and with the luxury of being able to take a good bath in the bath enjoying the landscape. This is also interior and environment design.

The children were remembered in a practical, functional and playful project in a toy library that made them want to be a child again.

The proposal for public bathrooms was very interesting, bringing nature through a vertical garden, providing users with a relaxing experience, a refuge.

The environments created in the external areas reinforced the relationship between us, human beings, architecture, nature, and ultimately life. A true work of art where nature actively participates.

JACKET MINAS  showed the Palace's old cinema (much used by Juscelino Kubischek (JK) which was revitalized, receiving contemporary details, without leaving aside the modernist notoriety present in all of the Palace's architecture.

The use of steel cut into brises, use of wood, transparency of glass, burnt cement, stones, earthy colors, ceramics, natural fiber furniture, organics, rugs, cushions, poufs, flowing curtains, works of art, special pieces from the years 1950, lighting revealing the environments, creating scenes for a pleasant experience in light, elegant environments. All this and much more made up the Minas Gerais house in this exhibition.
